Oh, that's right!!

I completely forgot to mention something very important!! In case you hadn't already heard, the American Birding Association named their 2014 Young Birders of the Year. (I feel bad for not hearing about this until a few weeks after the announcement, but I've just been so busy.... Sorry to the winners, they deserved much prompter congratulations!) Congrats to Alec Wyatt and Chloe Walker for winning this year's contest!! I'm sure they worked very hard on their modules, and they should be very proud of their achievements. So should everyone else who participated, of course! The contest is fun but a lot of work. Every participant is AWESOME! I can't wait to see what Alec Wyatt and Chloe Walker will be up to this year. Here's to an amazing 2014 with these new Young Birders of the Year!

  1. Hi Ioana,
Thank you so much! Winning this contest was super exciting, but I would still do it even if I didn't win. :) My favorite thing about this contest is getting feedback from the judges.

    1. Chloe,
Oh, hello-- I just remembered that we've spoken once before, haven't we! You have such a great attitude. You're right, one of the best things about the contest is that you get to send your work to and get advice from all of these birding professionals. It's an amazing learning experience all around. I don't know if you'll see this message, but if you do, are you planning to attend any of the young birder camps or conferences this year? :)
