Well, I had some lovely footage to show you guys. I got some great clips of Northern Rough-winged Swallows yesterday, and this morning I taped 30 Swainson's Hawks sitting in a field. Unfortunately, my camera's memory card kicked the bucket. All those clips are lost. I guess I'll just have to go birding again next weekend, alas.
This blog is evolving. I guess, in this past year, I've been trying to be a sort of birding encyclopedia. That was fun! The Bird of the Week videos and written guides were educational for both me and the audience. But, I'd really like for this blog to be more casual, more lively. So, I'm going to put away the formal Bird of the Week videos and written explanations of what birding is like, and I'm going to show you what my birding experiences actually are. My Plan (with a capital P) has two parts. Part A is for me to go birding every week. And Part B is for me to update this blog with stories and pictures just as often. I lied, it has three parts, because Part C is for you non-birders to see how awesome birding is and try it for yourself. I'm so excited! This is going to be a lot of fun. I can't wait to tell you my birdy stories.
As soon as I get a new memory card, that is.
